My Quadcopter
This is my little filming/FPV quadcopter I designed to be super light and super portable. The full specs are as follows.
- Frame - Custom ply wood and 12mm square dowel and M3 bolts and some foam rubber
- FC - DJI Naza M (4.0.0) with GPS
- Motors - 4x DJI 920 kV
- Props - DJI 8x4.5 nylon
- Video Tx - Foxtech FPV 5.8GHz 32 CH Tx 600mw
- Camera: GoPro Hero 3 Black
- ESC - 4x DJI Opto 30A
- Gimbal Motors - 2206 140 Kv
- Gimbal Frame - Custom acrylic
- RX - FrSky X8R
- Gimbal Controler - Martinez V3
- Landing Gear - 10mm Zip Ties
- Voltage Sensor - X8R2Analog
- Video Tx Antenna - 5.8 GHz Clover Leaf (Home made)
- Battery: Turnigy Nanotech 1800mah (with no gimbal about 12 minutes of flight time, about 5 minutes with)
The motor booms fold up to make it smaller to transport.
The gimbal camera mount on the front made from heat bent acrylic bolted onto the motors.
The motors are just bolted straight onto the booms. The zip tie landing gear were held on with little zip ties threaded through holes in the large end of the zip tie.
The Video Tx and GPS Mount made from a foam tube for lightness and flexibility in a crash.
The Martinez V3 gimbal controller zip tied onto the base.
The booms folded up. The foam strip underneath is to mount the battery against with the orange and black strap. As with everything else, loads of little red zip ties hold it all together.
Ready for Action!
